Vikram Singh Barn, better known as Vikkstar, has become a powerhouse in the digital entertainment space. From creating content with the Sidemen to touring the world and raising millions for charity, he continues to break barriers. Recently back from touring India with Alan Walker, he’s now shifting his focus to content creation with the Sidemen, business ventures, and an ambitious schedule that could take him to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and even Australia by the end of the year.
A Record-Breaking Charity Event
Beyond content creation, he’s made a significant impact on charity, helping to raise millions for good causes. Reflecting on the most successful fundraising event, last year’s Sidemen Charity Match, he recalls how over 2.7 million people watched the livestream, raising an impressive £2.5 million. With London Stadium packed with 65,000 fans, the stakes are even higher this year as they prepare to take over Wembley, aiming for 90,000 seats sold.
The event’s success is largely down to a loyal audience built over years, coupled with global talent like Speed, MrBeast, and Kaisenat. “When you align all those things and make it a fun, light-hearted event, I think it’s hard for it to go wrong,” he says.

Staying Grounded in the Spotlight
Fame brings its own challenges, but he credits his strong support system for keeping him grounded. “Fortunately, I have a large group of friends that all came into this world together. We respect each other’s opinions, and we’ll be the first to criticise if someone’s doing something wrong.”
This authenticity has been key to maintaining balance amid the fast-paced digital world, reinforcing the importance of staying true to his roots and those who have supported him from the start.
The Future of Digital Media
As social media continues to evolve, so does content creation. “The future of content is online. It’s become very short-form, real-time, and fast-moving,” he predicts. With a noticeable shift from traditional media to digital platforms, he believes mainstream media will soon take a backseat, as digital-first creators dominate the entertainment landscape.
A Message to Fans
With millions of subscribers and followers, he remains deeply grateful to those who have supported his journey. “Ultimately, we couldn’t do any of it without them,” he shares. As he continues to break records, give back to charity, and redefine digital content, one thing is clear: the future of entertainment is in the hands of digital creators.

Where are you right now and what’s going on around you?
I am currently at home in London for about two and a half weeks. Recently got back from touring India with Alan Walker, which was crazy! Now I’m focusing Sidemen content and some other business work. And then potentially towards the end of the year, I might have some travel to the Middle East, back to Southeast Asia, and then potentially even Australia!
As well as all of your great accomplishments you have kindly helped to raise millions of pounds for charities! Which of your charity events stands out as being the most successful and why do you think that was?
The charity match last year is our most successful event. We had, over 2.7 million people watching live on our stream. We raised over £2.5 million for some great charities, and we’ve now announced we’re heading to Wembley for next year. The aim is to go bigger and better every time but we set the bar very high, with 65,000 seats sold at the London Stadium. The aim is to sell 90,000 seats at Wembley for next year. I think it was mostly successful because we’ve built our audience up for a long time. They really support us in everything that we do, and we brought in some of the biggest creators from around the world, Speed, MrBeast, Kaisenat. When you align all those things and make it a fun, light-hearted event, I think it’s hard for it to go wrong.
What positive message would you like to send to people who look up to you as a role model?
I just want to say a huge thank you to all my subscribers and subscribers of the Sidemen. Ultimately, we couldn’t do any of it without them and we really appreciate all the support.

Fame brings unique challenges. How do you stay grounded and keep your perspective?
Fortunately, I have a large group of friends that all came into this world together. As friends, we respect each other’s opinions before we had big channels and other projects coming in. I think we’ve all stayed true to that value where we will be the first people to criticise each other if someone’s doing something wrong and I think it helps having that and the respect we have for one another.
What in your opinion is the future of content and how will the influencer vs mainstream media scenario play out in the next 10 years?
I think the future of content is online. It’s become very short-form, real-time, and fast-moving. It’s impossible to tell how it’ll play out over the next 10 years, but I’m noticing a huge shift from mainstream media to digital media. So, I think digital media will become the new mainstream media in the next 10 years.
